How does the Physical Literacy(PL) training programmes work?
The Physical Literacy Practitioner Award (PLP Award)
can be achieved through 1 week full-time workshop-based training and assessment via practical work-based assignment.
(Total credits : 9 ; Total time: 44 hours)
Course Structure:
To gain the PLP Award, students must complete “Developing Yourself as a Physical Literacy Leader” and all Compulsory units and then add another 2 credits from the Optional units.
PLUS your tutor will create a timetable for you, and will set you work and assignments to complete independently , each week in order to attain the 2 extra credits from the optional units.
Qualification Received:
You will receive a Level 2 qualification from an international institute: Level 2: Physical Literacy Practitioner Award (PLPA)
The PL Team Leader Certificate (PLTL Certificate)
can be achieved by completion of the PLP Award (as above) PLUS another 7 credits from a list of Optional units.
Course Structure: 1 week full-time workshop-based training and assessment via practical work-based assignment
PLUS your tutor will create a timetable for you, and will set you work and assignments to complete independently , each week in order to attain the seven extra credits from the optional units.
If you can spend around 3 hours a week studying, you should be able to complete the PLTL course in 3 months.
Assessment
Assessment is via practical work-based assignments and on-site assessment.
Optional assignments are completed and supported through e-learning.
Qualification Received:
You will receive a Level 3 qualification from an international institute: Certificate in Physical Literacy Team Leading.(PLTL)
Accredited Physical Literacy Learning Environment (APLLE)

Qualification Received:
An annual license and plaque depicting your commitment to a Physical Literacy curriculum that is externally verified annually.
